Staten Island, NY -The University of the District of Columbia women’s basketball team fell to Franklin Pierce University 72-58 on Saturday in their second game of the 2024-2025 season. Despite strong efforts from Tori Williams and Kensley Benjamin, the Firebirds were unable to recover from a tough second quarter and now stand at 0-2 on the season.
UDC Women’s Basketball Falls to Holy Family University in Season Opener

Staten Island, NY - The University of the District of Columbia women's basketball team opened the 2024-2025 season with a 71-51 loss to Holy Family University on Friday evening at the Sports & Recreation Center. Despite a strong performance from Laci Johnson, who led UDC with 18 points, the Firebirds were unable to overcome a tough Holy Family defense.

Garnering 60 points and one first-place vote, the Firebirds enter the season as a top contender in the ECC following their impressive 20-10 record last year, including an 11-5 mark in conference play.
