UDC Women's Basketball Cruise to 82-47 Victory over Molloy

Washington, D.C. - The University of the District of Columbia women's basketball team delivered a commanding performance, defeating Molloy University 82-47 in an East Coast Conference (ECC) matchup at the E.B Henderson Sports Complex. This marks their third straight conference win, improving to 5-3 in ECC play.

The Firebirds opened with a 23-11 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, outscoring Molloy in every period. Five Firebirds scored in double digits, with significant contributions from the bench. Tori Williams led all scorers with a season-high 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Kensley Benjamin shot 50% from the field and went 9-11 from the charity stripe to total 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Brenda Mckinney posted the games only double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Laci Johnson and Tania Hill rounded out double-figure scoring with 14 and 10, respectively.

UDC (7-10, 5-3 ECC) will head to Buffalo next Friday for a match up against D'Youville. The game is slated to begin at 5:30pm.
