
Firebirds Overpower Roberts Wesleyan in Dominant 76-51 Conference Victory
Washington, D.C. -The University of the District of Columbia women's basketball team secured a commanding 76-51 win over Roberts Wesleyan College in Saturday's East Coast Conference matchup at the E.B Henderson Sports Complex. The Firebirds improve to 3-3 in Conference play while the Redhawks fall to 0-6.
The Firebirds came out strong, establishing a 22-9 lead in the first quarter and maintaining their momentum throughout the game. Kensley Benjamin led the charge with a team-high 14 points and 7 rebounds, Tania Hill filled the stat sheet with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 steals and 4 assists, and Nia Ford and Kristian Harris each added 13 points.
