Roberts Leads the Firebirds in 6k

Salisbury, MD- The University of the District of Columbia's Women's Cross-Country team competed in their first 6k run at the Salisbury Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday October 5th.

Senior Cierra Roberts led the pack in her debut 6k running a time of 24:47.82 and placing 42ndout of 133 runners. Next finisher for the Firebirds was Shannell Hibbert who ran a time of 30:27.02

Not too far behind were teammates Shanieka Bowra and Aisha Dozier who finished with times of 31:42.95 and 31:53.05

The Firebirds are off next week but will be back in action on Saturday October 19thfor the Hood College Open.
