Firebirds Share ECC Regular Season Champion Title; Earn #3 Seed in Tournament
Washington, DC- The University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team has earned their first Regular Season Champion title since the 2021 season. The Firebirds also share this title with Queens College and St Thoms Aquinas College as all three concluded conference play with a 4-1 record. Due to tie-breakers, Queens earned the #1 seed, STAC #2 and UDC #3, in the upcmong tournament in Flushing, N.Y.
The Firebirds concluded the Fall season with a 6-2 overall record, picking up wins against, Daemen, D'Youville, Millersville, Dominican, Molloy and Queens, and falling to STAC and Jefferson. This marks their fourth consecutive ECC Tournament appearance and second Regular Season title in four years.
