Destiny Ryles Earns Fourth ECC Player of the Week Accolades; Haskins Named to Honor Roll

WEST BABYLON, N.Y.- Destiny Ryles closed out the regular season with her fourth ECC Player of the Week Accolades and Shanell Haskins was named to her first Honor Roll. 

Ryles was just shy of averaging a triple-double in a 2-0 week for the Firebirds to close out the regular season, with 13.0 points, 11.5 assists, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game. In UDC's 83-71 win over Molloy, Ryles became the 12th player in Division II and the only player in the ECC to record a triple double this season. The junior guard scored 15 points, dished out 15 assists, and pulled down 12 rebounds alongside a game-high three steals. In the 80-56 win over Queens, Ryles recorded 11 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and four steals.

Haskins averaged 17.0 points per game, shooting at 49.1 percent from the field, to go with 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 2.0 assists to help lead the Firebirds to a 2-0 week. In the 80-56 win over Queens, she posted 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four blocks. In the 83-71 win over Molloy, she scored a game-high 21 points, going 6-of-9 from behind the arc.
