Destiny Ryles Named ECC Player of the Week

WEST BABYLON, N.Y.- Destiny Ryles was named this weeks ECC player of the week for the third time this season.

Ryles averaged 30.0 points per game, 8.0 assists per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, and 5.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Firebirds. In UDC's 85-82 loss to D'Youville, Ryles posted a career- and game-high 34 points, shooting 45.8 percent from the field while posting eight rebounds, four assists and four steals. In the Firebirds' 71-65 win over Daemen, Ryles posted a double-double to lead all scorers with 26 points, 12 assists, seven steals, and six rebounds. The UDC junior guard leads the conference and ranks seventh in the nation in steals per game (3.32) and ranks fourth in the conference in scoring (16.1 ppg).

The Firebirds will host the College of Staten Island next Saturday at 1:00pm.
