Latavia Jackson Earns D2CCA East-Region Second-Team Honors

NEW HAVEN, CONN- Latavia Jackson was named to the D2 (Conference Commissioners Association) CCA East Regional Second-Team (nominating and voting for the major award and all-region team was conducted by the sports information directors among the region's three conferences -CACC, ECC, NE10). She is just one of two ECC players to make the list this year and the second Firebird ever to make a Regional team (first was Denikka Brent who earned first-team honors back in 2015). 

Jackson finished the season averaginng 17 ppg (1st), 7.1 rebounds per game (9th), 45.5 field goal percentage (6th), and 2.1 steals per game (2nd). She recieved Player of the week honors twice this season while making it onto the weekly honor roll seven times. Jackson scored a career-high 33 points earlier this season and has scored in the double-figures in 25 games for a season total of 460 points. She pulled down career season highs of 191 rebounds and 11 blocks. She also posted four double-doubles.
