WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's women's basketball team faces off against Goldey-Beacom on Day 2 of the Wilmington Tip-Off Challenge.

Scouting UDC
- UDC (1-0) opened the season with a 76-42 victory over Wilmington
- Three Firebirds scored in the double-figures including Destiny Ryles who scored a game high 24 points
- The Firebirds were voted to place third in the ECC Preaseon poll
- UDC ended the 2021-22 season with a 13-15 record and return eight student-athletes from last year's roster
Scouting Goldey-Beacom
- The Lightning (1-0) defeated Saint Rose 82-73 to open their season
- Alexis Harrison ;ed the team with 20 points
- They were voted to place 5th in the CACC South subdivision preseason poll
- They went 8-18 during the 2021-22 season
History
The last time these two teams met was on December 15, 2021, where the Lightning pulled away with the 72-62 victory. In the last five match-ups dating back to the 2011-12 season, the Firebirds have won 3-5 games.
