Latavia Jackson and Destiny Ryles Earns ECC All-Conference Honors

West Babylon, N.Y- Sophomore guard Latavia Jackson and Freshman Guard Destiny Ryles were named to the ECC Third team, as was announced Friday morning by the league office.

Jackson finished the season averaging 15.8 points per game, 6.2 rebounds per game, 2 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game. She was named the ECC Player of the week early this season and made multiple weekly honor rolls since then. She is ranked fifth in the conference for points per game, 16th for rebounds per game, and 11th for steals per game.

Ryles earned three Rookie of the Week honors this season and multiple honor rolls. She averaged 11.8 points per game, 5.6 rebounds per game, 4.3 assists per game, and 2.9 steals per game. She was ranked first in the conference for steals, third for assists, and 15th for points per game.

The Firebirds finished the season with a 13-15, 9-9 conference record and their first postseason appearance since the 2015-16 season.
