Women's Basketball Set to Face Off Against STAC in ECC Quarterfinals
West Babylon, N.Y. – The bracket for the East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Championship is now set after the conclusion of regular season play.
Tournament action begins on Wednesday, March 2 with the first round taking place at on-campus sites. By earning the tournament's top seed, Daemen will host the semifinals and final of the tournament at Lumsden Gymnasium on their campus in Amherst, N.Y. on Saturday, March 5, and Sunday, March 6.
UDC earned the No. 6 seed to end a drought without an ECC Championship appearance that dated back to the 2016 season. The Firebirds are in search of their first conference championship since 2014.
St. Thomas Aquinas swept the season series against UDC. The Spartans won the previous meeting in Aquinas Hall just last week by a 74-61 margin.
