
Bahdanovich Pulls off Singles Win, Firebirds Fall to STAC in Regular Season Finale
SPARKHILL, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team concluded the regular season with a tough 1-6 loss to conference foe St Thomas Aquinas College, Saturday afternoon.
STAC took the doubles point to get the 1-0, lead going into singles play. The duo of Louis Mangeon and Maksim Bahdanovich put up a tough fight at No.1 but eventually fell 7-6(4).
Bahdanovich brought home the lone point for the Firebirds with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at No.4 singles play.
The Firebirds (5-12, 2-4 ECC) have secured themselves as the #3 seed in the ECC tournament and will head to Flushing N.Y. next Friday the 29th where they will have a rematch against STAC in the semifinals.
