Firebirds Drop Home Opener to Griffins

WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia Firebirds faced a tough loss against Seton Hill University on Saturday at the UDC Turf Field, with a final score of 3-1. Despite an early lead by the Firebirds, Seton Hill rallied in the second half to claim the victory. The Firebirds slip to 1-2-1 on the season while the Griffins improved to 3-0.

  • First Half: The Firebirds struck first with a penalty kick courtesy of midfielder Vasco Irazola. This early goal gave UDC a promising lead.
