Braylon Lumb Earns ECC Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – The University of the District of Columbia's Braylon Lumb was named East Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for his performance in the week ending April 17th.

 

Lumb, a freshman midfielder out of Victoria, British Columbia, registered six points on three goals and three assists during a 1-1 week for the Firebirds. He helped UDC to a 13-8 win over Georgian Court with one goal and two assists, and put together another three-point outing with two goals and one assist in a 16-10 loss to Molloy. He also collected six ground balls on the week.

 

Lumb is currently 2nd on the team in points (20), goals (13) and assists (seven), and he has 20 ground balls this season.

 

The Firebirds (3-6, 0-5 ECC), having faced four nationally ranked opponents out of their five conference games thus far, seek their first ECC win this season with three league road contests remaining. The first of those three games is at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday, April 23rd.
