Washington, D.C. – The University of the District of Columbia's senior guard Tevin Curtis reached a major career milestone on Wednesday night, scoring his 1,000th career point in the Firebirds' 68-78 contest against Queens College. Curtis entered the game needing 5 points to hit the milestone and delivered with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.

UDC set the tone early, racing out to a 41-29 lead at halftime. The Firebirds' aggressive defense forced Queens into 8 first-half turnovers, and Khyrie Staten and Charles Holley Jr. combined for 19 points in the opening period.
