Gray Posts Career-High In Conference Match Up Against Staten Island

Staten Island, NY – The University of the District of Columbia men's basketball team put together a strong first half but was unable to keep pace after halftime, falling 78-55 to Staten Island in East Coast Conference (ECC) action.

The Firebirds started strong, taking a 29-26 halftime lead, but Staten Island responded with a dominant second half, outscoring UDC 52-26 to seal the victory. Rejuan Gray led the way for the Firebirds posting a game-and-career-high 26 points shooting 61% from the field. Staten Island was led by Asa Kone, who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
