GRAND LAKE, CO – The University of the District of Columbia Women’s Lacrosse team was one of 67 Division II schools and 300 schools across NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA to be named a Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad as announced by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association.

FLUSHING, NY – Four-year captain and former starting goalkeeper Dani Falco scored her first career collegiate goal in her farewell game as a Firebird, but the University of the District of Columbia women’s lacrosse team was defeated, 15-5 by East Coast Conference foe Queens College in its 2017 season finale on the road Saturday afternoon.

Valentine scored five goals along with one assist, and six groundballs.

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Sophomore midfielder Vanessa Valentine scored four goals for the visiting University of the District of Columbia women’s lacrosse team, but the Firebirds were defeated, 17-7 by the University of Bridgeport in East Coast Conference action Thursday afternoon at Knights Field.

Franklin scored both of the Firebirds two goals.

WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia women’s lacrosse team was defeated, 17-5 by St. Thomas Aquinas College in East Coast Conference action Saturday afternoon at Woodrow Wilson HS.

Rock scored three goals to lead the Firebirds.
Firebirds Score Season-High 10 Goals in Loss to Chowan

WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia women’s lacrosse team scored a season-high 10 goals, but it was not enough to keep pace with visiting Chowan University, as the Firebirds were defeated, 18-10 in this NCAA Division II non-regional contest on a warm, sunny afternoon Wednesday at McNabb Field.

Kianna Franklin finished the game with three goals.

WASHINGTON, DC – Kianna Franklin, Aaliyah Carter and Jazmin Lopez all scored for the Firebirds in a 16-3 loss to the No. 5 ranked team in Division II, LIU Post, as the University of the District of Columbia women’s lacrosse team hosted the historic first ever lacrosse game at UDC Field on the Van Ness campus on Saturday afternoon.

Senior midfielder Aaliyah Carter had two goals and game-highs of eight draw controls, four ground balls, and three caused turnovers.

OLD WESTBURY, NY – Freshman midfielder Kianna Franklin scored her team-leading 3rd goal of the season six minutes into the game, but the University of the District of Columbia women’s lacrosse team was defeated in its East Coast Conference season opener by No. 15 nationally-ranked New York Institute of Technology, 20-1 on Friday afternoon at President’s Stadium.

Foy earned a complete game victory in goal for the Firebirds in her collegiate debut.
