UDC Women's Cross-country Team Competes in Towson Invitational

Hunt Valley, MD: September 25, 2010-- The University of the District of Columbia Women's Cross-country Team competed in the Towson State University Invitational today, in Hunt Valley, Maryland at the Oregon Ridge Park Course. Junior Kaneesha Hollis (Criminal Justice-Centreville, MD) was the top UDC finisher in  the 5k race, coming in at 23:02.20 minutes. UDC finished in 7th place overall.

The second highest finisher for the Firebirds was senior Demia Franklin (Public Health-Baltimore, MD) with the time of 24:02.60, followed by sophomore Callister Jones (Marketing-Fort Washington, MD) finishing in 24:54.80.

UDC returns to action on October 2, at the HBCU Challenge in Cary, North Carolina.
