Grant Repeats as ECC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year

Washington, DC- For the second consecutive season, Simone Grant has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year, as was announced by the Conference office this morning.

Grant guided the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds to their third ECC Championship title—and second in a row—culminating in a dominant team performance. The Firebirds posted 194 total points to top runner-up Roberts Wesleyan by a 19-point margin. Under her leadership, the team secured 9 individual event titles and demonstrated outstanding depth across track and field events.
