Wilmington, Del. – The University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team took on nationally ranked No. 26 Wilmington University on Tuesday afternoon at the Delcastle Tennis Center, falling 7-0 in their final regular season match of the year.
Despite the overall team result, the Firebirds notched a notable win in doubles play. The duo of Claudia Bahamon Lopez and Lina Benjelloun outlasted Wilmington's Gloria Barcaro and Ines Oliveira in a hard-fought 7-5 battle at No. 2 doubles, giving UDC a highlight on the day.
