District of Columbia’s Louka Queguiner Named ECC Men’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year

WASHINGTON, DC – The East Coast Conference has named University of the District of Columbia senior Louka Queguiner the 2025 ECC Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, recognizing his outstanding achievements both on the court and in the classroom.

A business management major, Queguiner graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. On the court, he delivered a stellar senior campaign, earning a No. 8 regional singles ranking and a No. 3 regional doubles ranking—the latter alongside teammate Louis Mangeon—according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Queguiner was named to the ECC All-Conference Team for the second consecutive year, anchoring the Firebirds at the No. 2 singles position with a 9-7 record. His season included pivotal wins against Daemen, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Queens. Among his most memorable moments was a thrilling three-set victory over Queens' Tim Andersson, capped by a dominant 7-6 (7-0) tiebreaker.

In doubles play, Queguiner and Mangeon combined for eight victories, highlighted by a strong showing at the ITA East Regional Tournament, where they advanced to the semifinals. The duo also posted an impressive 2-1 record against the region's top-ranked pair from STAC.
