UDC Men's Tennis Sweeps ECC Weekly Awards for Second Consecutive Week

Washington, DC- For the second consecutive week, UDC Men's Tennis sweeps the ECC Weekly awards with Louis Mangeon earning Player of the week and Elouan Queguiner earning Rookie of the Week. Louka Queguiner and Oskar Karos were also named to the Honor Roll.

Mangeon went 4-0 with an undefeated week at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in a 2-0 week for the Firebirds. In the 7-0 win over West Chester, Mangeon teamed up with Louka Queguiner to defeat their opponents, 6-4, before going on to defeat Lucas Henke 6-1, 7-5 to clinch the match. In the 7-0 win over Daemen, the UDC graduate student and Queguiner defeated their opponents, 6-4, to clinch the doubles point before going on to to defeat Juan Alvarez, 6-1, 6-1.

Queguiner went 4-0 in a 2-0 week for UDC. In the 7-0 win over West Chester, the District of Columbia freshman teamed up with Sebastiano Palma to win 6-4 at No. 2 and clinch the doubles point. He then defeated Brady Burns, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 3 singles. In the 7-0 win over Daemen, Queguiner cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Jayven Williamson at No. 4 singles after a 6-3 victory with Palma at No. 2 doubles. This marks his second consecutive, and third overall Rookie of the Week honors. 

Queguiner went undefeated in a 2-0 week for UDC. In the 7-0 win over West Chester, he teamed up with Louis Mangeon to defeat their opponents 6-4 at No. 1. He then went on to defeat Andres Urrutia 6-2, 6-1 at No.2 singles. In the 7-0 win over Daemen, he defeated Lucas Garcia Angarita 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles after a 6-2 win at No.1 doubles with Mangeon.

Karos went 4-0 in a 2-0 week for UDC. In the 7-0 victory over West Chester, he teamed up with Fillipo Vatteroni to defeat their opponents 6-2 at No. 3 doubles. He then went on to battle his way to a three set victory, with a 6-2, 5-7, 1-0(11) win over Felix Weber at No. 4 singles. In the 7-0 win over Daemen, he and Vatteroni defeated their opponents 6-2 at No. 3 doubles before going on to defeat Rohan Chitanand 6-1, 2-6, 1-0(5) at No. 3 singles.
