UDC Men's Tennis Sweeps ECC Weekly Awards
Washington, DC- Louka Queguiner and Elouan Queguiner sweep the ECC Weekly awards, after going undefeated against Conference foe Daemen University. Ghali Ouajahat Filali and Sebastiano Palma also earned their spots on the Honor Roll
Louka Queguiner went 2-0 in the Firebirds' 5-2 ECC victory over Daemen to earn his first ECC Player of the Week title this season. The UDC senior secured a hard-fought victory over Alex Lumanog in a thrilling three-set match at No. 2 singles after teaming up with Louis Mangeon to defeat their opponents 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.
Elouan Queguiner went 2-0 in the Firebirds' 5-2 victory over Daemen to earn his second ECC Rookie of the Week title this season. The UDC freshman teamed up with Sebastiano Palma to defeat their opponents 6-3 at No. 2 doubles and then went on to defeat Lucas Garcia Angarita 7-5, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.
Ghali Ouajahat Filali defeated Jayven Williamson 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles after teaming up with Gabreleul Yacob to defeat their opponents 6-3 at No. 3 doubles to close out a 2-0 day against Daemen.
Palma went 2-0 in the Firebirds' 5-2 win over Daemen. In doubles play, he teamed up with Elouan Queguiner to defeat their opponents 6-3 at No. 2 doubles and then went on to clinch the match point with a 7-6(3), 6-1 win over Rohan Chitanand at No. 4 singles.
