UDC Men's Tennis Takes Down Coppin State 5-2

WASHINGTON, DC- the University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team picked up their second straight win after defeating Coppin State University 5-2, Thursday afternoon. The Firebirds now improve to 3-3 on the season.

After falling at the no.2 doubles position, The Firebirds went on to secure the doubles point with wins at No.3 and 1. The duo of Juan Estevez Hernandez and Antonio Simo Durall took down their opponents 6-2 and Louis Mangeon and Louka Queguiner battled to a 7-6(5) win.

Queguiner crusied to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No.3,  Oskar Karos followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No.5 and Mauricio Corty clinched the winning point with a victory at No.6.

Next up, UDC (3-3, 0-0 ECC) will head to N.Y. to open conference play against STAC on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 6:45pm.
