Firebirds Fall to Chestnut Hill in High-Scoring Battle

Philadelphia, PA – The University of the District of Columbia Firebirds put up a strong offensive effort but were unable to keep pace with Chestnut Hill, falling 101-85 on the road Tuesday night at Sorgenti Arena. Despite a second-half push, UDC could not overcome a 51-39 halftime deficit, as Chestnut Hill's efficient shooting proved to be the difference.

The Firebirds started strong but struggled to contain Chestnut Hill's perimeter shooting, allowing them to build a 51-39 halftime lead. Khyrie Staten led UDC early, scoring 10 first-half points on 4-5 shooting.

UDC attempted to rally behind Tevin Curtis and Rejuan Gray, but Chestnut Hill maintained control with clutch baskets and strong defense. The Firebirds shot 47.8% from the field but struggled defensively as Chestnut Hill converted 53.6% of their shots and knocked down 17 three-pointers.
