
Firebirds Fall to Chestnut Hill in High-Scoring Battle
Philadelphia, PA – The University of the District of Columbia Firebirds put up a strong offensive effort but were unable to keep pace with Chestnut Hill, falling 101-85 on the road Tuesday night at Sorgenti Arena. Despite a second-half push, UDC could not overcome a 51-39 halftime deficit, as Chestnut Hill's efficient shooting proved to be the difference.
The Firebirds started strong but struggled to contain Chestnut Hill's perimeter shooting, allowing them to build a 51-39 halftime lead. Khyrie Staten led UDC early, scoring 10 first-half points on 4-5 shooting.
