
UDC Men’s Basketball Falls to Goldey-Beacom 90-74
Wilmington, DE - The University of the District of Columbia men's basketball team faced a tough 90-74 defeat against Goldey-Beacom College in a non-conference game on Saturday. Despite a valiant second-half effort, the Firebirds could not overcome a challenging first half.
Goldey-Beacom jumped out to an early lead, outscoring UDC 45-22 in the first half. The Firebirds rallied in the second half, scoring 52 points, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.
Greg Williams led UDC with 16 points, including 3 three-pointers, while Khyrie Staten also contributed 16 points and added 4 rebounds. Tevin Curtis had 12 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds, while Gene Anderson chipped in with 8 points and 4 rebounds.
