
Firebirds Soar in the Classroom: UDC Student-Athletes Achieve Academic Excellence
Washington, D.C.-The University of the District of Columbia's student-athletes are not just champions on the field but also in the classroom. Demonstrating the true essence of the scholar-athlete, UDC's athletic teams recorded an impressive collective Fall semester GPA of 3.341.
This outstanding performance highlights the university's commitment to fostering academic and athletic success. All 10 UDC teams achieved semester GPAs above 3.0, with the Men's Tennis team leading the charge with a remarkable 3.919 semester GPA and a 3.846 cumulative GPA. The Women's Tennis team also shone brightly, earning a cumulative GPA of 3.891.
Academic Highlights:
- 19 student-athletes achieved perfect 4.0 GPAs.
- 37 student-athletes earned GPAs between 3.5 and 3.999.
- 36 student-athletes earned a 3.0 to 3.449
