Louis Mangeon, Men's Tennis

Louis Mangeon, Men's Tennis

"I decided to come to UDC for a few reasons. First, the location is amazing, I wanted to live in a big city- I didn't want to live on a campus in the middle of nowhere. So living in the capital of the U.S was something very attractive. UDC also has a lot of opportunities both academically and athletically. The tennis team was looking good and I had a great relationship with the coach so that was a big plus. My agent Alexis Baguelin, is a UDC men's tennis Alum and he told me that he had a very good experience. What I really like about UDC is that everyone is here to take care of you. I arrived 5 years ago and I couldn't speak English at all, and everyone was there to help me! There are always people around to take care of you. It feels like we are all one big family! I love the support we have during our games. The best experience I've had was at the ITA's at the US Open. As a tennis player it was a dream of course to play on the US Open courts. I've been here for 5 years now and it has been the best 5 years of my life!".  -Louis Mangeon

Mangeon is a graduate student from Belbouf, France majoring in Business Management. During the 2023-24 season he helped his team to a winning record and an NCAA East Region Tournament appearance for the first time since the 2017 season.
