UDC Women's Cross- Country Competes in Towson Invitational

Hunt Valley, MD:September 12, 2009-- The UDC Firebirds Women's Cross- Country team finished 8th in the Towson State University Cross-Country Invitational on Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Freshman Calister Jones placed highest for the Firebirds, finishing 54th with the time of 8:25.3 26:09.86 42 .

Princess Anne, MD: September 12, 2009- Sophomore runner Kaneesha Hollis (Centreville, MD) led the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds in competition at the University of Maryland Cappy Anderson Invitational on Saturday, September 12. Hollis finished in 63rd place with the time of 23:58.12. Freshman Famatta Lewis ( Camden, NJ) finished in 71st place with the time of 27:28.31.

Washington, DC—The University of the District of Columbia has named Jasmine Rogers as its new head coach for men’s & women’s cross-country and women’s track & field. Patricia Thomas, director of athletics at the University made the announcement stating, “Jasmine will be extremely effective progressing into coaching from her outstanding career as a scholar-athlete. I am proud to have her join the Firebird family."
