UDC Women’s Cross Country Concludes Season at the East Coast Regional Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's women's cross-country team concluded their season at the East Coast Regional Championships, Saturday morning at Roberts Wesleyan College. Kamille Dixon and Ayesha Jarrett had strong performances to wrap up their first season on the collegiate level.

Dixon placed 31st out of a field of 139 other runners. Her time of 23:06.0 is less than 20 seconds off her PR of 22:52.70, which she ran earlier this season at the Don Cathcart Invitational meet. Jarrett ran a time of 26:20.9, which is less than 30 seconds off of her best time of 25:53.20, also ran at the Don Cathcart Invitational.

"I am proud of Kamille Dixon and Ayesha Jarett's performances today," said Coach Grant. "The team ran well throughout the season. I couldn't have asked for a better way to close our cross-country season to prepare for the indoor season."

This marked the first time that a Firebird has competed in the East Coast Regional meet since 2007.
