Dixon Wins Don Cathcart Invitational

SALISBURY, MD- The University of the District of Columbia's women's cross-country team competed in the 6k at the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Winter Place Park. Kamille Dixon placed first amongst a field of 94 competitors to take home the gold.

Dixon, in her debut 6k, ran a time of 22:52.70 to win the meet and is less than 40 seconds away from breaking the school record. Ayesha Jarrett was the second finisher for the Firebirds with a time of 25:53.20 to finish 34^th overall. Next up for UDC was Fanta Sanogo with a time of 28:13.90.

UDC will compete at the Coach Caslin Classic, in another 6k next Saturday, October 9^th in Baltimore, MD.
