Murfreesboro, NC – The UDC Women's Volleyball team traveled to Murfreesboro, NC to take on Chowan University and Lincoln University (PA). The Firebirds come home with one win and one loss, as they defeated Lincoln 3-0 and lost to Chowan 0-3. The Firebirds now move to 8-11 overall on the season.
In the first match of the day, UDC dominated Lincoln University from start to finish, dispatching the Lions in three sets 25-9, 25-6, 25-8. The firebirds gained control of each set early and never looked back, closing out Lincoln quickly. The second match proved to be much more difficult for the Firebirds as they faced a team on a ten game winning streak in Chowan University. Chowan defeated UDC with final set scores of 25-16, 25-12, and 25-22. The Hawks ran their win streak to 11 matches in a row after today's win and they sit at 15-3 on the year.
The Firebirds return to action on Tuesday at Goldey Beacom College at 7:00 PM.
