Firebirds Drop Two at St. Mary's Tournament

St. Mary's, MD: October 30, 2010- The University of the District of Columbia Firebirds Women's Volleyball Team lost both of its matches, today, at the St. Mary's College Seahawk Tournament in St. Mary's, Maryland. 

The Firebirds dropped their first match to the Salisbury State University Sea Gulls, 25-15, 25-21 and 26-24. Sets two and three could have gone either way as the Firebirds trailed, but kept the scores close, eventually falling, 3-0. The Firebirds then lost to Virginia Wesleyan University, in the last match, 25-19, 27-25, and 25-18. UDC is now 19-8 for the season.

UDC now turns its attention to a re-match against the Virginia State University Trojans, on Monday, November 1, in Petersburg, Virginia. They defeated them 3-0 on September 20, at home.
