Bastin and Zelenstova Undefeated Against New Haven

WASHINGTON, DC- the University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team fell 2-5 to New Haven University, Friday afternoon at the UDC Tennis Courts.

Célia Bastin and Polina Zelentsova were responsible for the Firebirds two points. They teamed up at the No.2 spot to win their doubles match 6-3 before going on to win their singles matches. After falling 3-6 in the first set, Zelentsova battled back to win the next two sets 6-3, 6-2 at No.2

Bastin defeated her opponent in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 6 position. 

 Up next, UDC (10-6) will head to West Chester University on Sunday. The Match is slated to begin at 1:00pm.
