Firebirds Improve to a 7-0 Record on the Season with a 7-0 Victory over the Huskies

WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's women's tennis team defeated Bloomsburg 7-0, on Friday afternoon at the UDC Tennis courts. The Firebirds improved to an overall 7-0 record with their fifth 7-0 victory of the season.

UDC earned the doubles point with wins at No.1, 2, and 3. They went on to win at No.2, 3, 4, and 5 singles with Joanna Skrzypczynska clinching the winning point. Simoné Pärn fought her way to a 5-7, 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 1 with Valentina Brienza closing out the match for the Firebirds to bring the final score to 7-0.

UDC will gear up to take on Daemen College and D'Youville on October the 22nd and the 23rd  to finish out the regular season with Conference play. Both games will be hosted at the UDC Tennis courts.
