Izabella Bilecova named ECC Rookie of the week
Washington, DC- Freshamn Izabella Bilecova earned ECC Rookie of the week for her performance against Daemen College and Roberts Wesleyan.
Bilecova is 2-0 in both singles and doubles match. She paired up with teammate Joanna Skrzypczynska to defeat the Daemen duet of Courtney Otis and Emily Clough 6-0, on September 6th. The following day they would go on to defeat the duo of Laura Freeman and Carolyn Graham 6-1, of Roberts Wesleyan.
In singles play Bilecova defeated Mackenzie Shayes of Damen college 6-0, 6-0. Then went on to defeat Sophie Farnholz from Roberts Wesleyan 6-0, 6-0.
The Firebirds are now 2-0 in both season record and conference play. Next up, the Firebirds will take a break from Team competition to compete in the ITA East Regional Championships which takes place on September 13th-16th.
