WASHINGTON, DC – The University of the District of Columbia women's tennis team was defeated by cross town Division I rival Howard, 4-0 on Thursday afternoon in its first match of the spring season at Washington Tennis and Education Foundation.
The Bison (3-3) earned two doubles victories and three singles wins at the top three spots to secure the victory as all other matches were left unfinished. The Firebirds fell to 7-4 overall with the loss.
UDC has a 10-day rest before they visit regional foe Concordia (NY) of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference on March 16th. The Clippers were 9-1 and won the CACC Championship this past fall. This will be their first match of the spring season.
