Schamen's Nets Hat Trick in Firebirds 13-9 Loss Against Felician

SPARKS, MD- The University of the District of Columbia's women's lacrosse team fell short in a tough battle against Felician University, at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters, Sunday morning. Freshman, Anna Schamens netted a hat trick in the Firebird's second outing of the season.
Schamens had four points on three goals and an assist. Alejandra Lainez-Rodriguez and Sarai Reyes-Roman added two goals apiece.
UDC had the early lead, outscoring the Golden Falcons 4-3 in the first quarter but Felician came back to take a one-point lead going into the half.
The difference-maker came in the third quarter as the Golden Falcons opened up a five-point lead, which the Firebirds weren't able to recover from despite outscoring them 2-1 in the final strecth
UDC (0-2, 0-0 ECC) will host Post University in their first home game of the season on Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 2:00 pm and the game will be live-streamed on the ECC Network.
