UDC Women’s Lacrosse Named 2015 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Squad
GRAND LAKE, CO – The University of the District of Columbia Women's Lacrosse team was one of 50 Division II schools and 262 schools across NCAA Divisions I, II and III to be named an Academic Honor Squad as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Honor Squad honors, as 84 Division I, 50 Division II and 128 Division III schools qualified for this distinction nationwide. Five schools from the East Coast Conference earned this honor, including UDC.
The 2015 Firebirds women's lacrosse team has also had five Division 2 Athletic Directors Association All-Academic recipients and 10 ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll awardees – both department bests. The D2ADA award is for student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA and the ECC Commissioner's honor is for student-athletes with a 3.25 or better.
