UDC Women's Basketball is Set to Host the ECC Quarterfinal Round

WASHINGTON, DC- the University of the District of Columbia's women's basketball team will host their second consecutive ECC Quarterfinal this Wednesday at the E.B Henderson Sports Complex at 7:00 pm.

They will take on the College of Staten Island in rematch of last year's quarterfinal, where the Dolphins upsetted the Firebirds to move on to the semi-finals. 

District of Columbia (19-9, 11-5 ECC) is back in the tournament for the third year in a row and will host a first round match-up for the second straight season. The Firebirds will look to end a 10-year drought without a title, with their last and only ECC Championship coming in 2014.

The Firebirds swept the pair of regular-season match-ups against the Dolphins with a 73-69 road win on January 20 and a 70-47 home win on February 17.
