Tori Williams Named ECC Player of the Week

WEST BABYLON, N.Y.- Tori Williams was named this week's ECC Player of the Week for her performance during a 2-0 week for the Firebirds. Destiny Ryles was also named to the Honor Roll for the second consecutive week.

Williams led the Firebirds to a 2-0 week, averaging 26.0 points per game and shooting at 70 percent (22-for-32) from the field. The UDC junior guard/forward also averaged 7.5 rebounds per game, 1.5 blocks per game, and 1.5 steals per game. In the win over Georgian Court, Williams led all scorers with 23 points while pulling down five rebounds and making two steals and two blocks. In the win over Southern Connecticut State, Williams turned in her first double-double of the season with a game-high 26 points and 10 rebounds.

Ryles was all over the stat sheet in UDC's 2-0 week, averaging 14.0 points per game, 9.0 assists per game, 5.5 steals per game, and 4.0  rebounds per game. In the win over Georgian Court, Ryles neared a triple-double with 19 points, nine assists, seven steals, and five rebounds. In the win over Southern Connecticut State, she dished out another nine assists while adding nine points and four steals.
