UDC Women's Basketball Announces 2022-23 Schedule

WASHINGTON, DC -The University of the District of Columbia's Head Women's Basketball Coach, John Nakpodia announced the schedule for the 2022-23 season.

UDC finished the 2021-22 season with a 13-15 overall record, a 9-9 conference record and an ECC postseason appearance for the first time since the 2016 season. They return eight players from last year's roster, including ECC Third-Team picks, Latavia Jackson and Destiny Ryles. They also welcome sophomore guard Shanell Haskins to the team.

The Firebirds will open their season with a very busy month of November playing a total of eight contests, three of which are at home. They also open up conference play hosting St Thomas Aquinas College on the 30th. 

They will continue conference play into the first week of December with away contests against Mercy College and Staten Island . They return home for a brief match up against Chestnut Hill before finishing out the month with three non conference away match ups.  

UDC will start the new year in Virginia with their final non conference match up of the the regular season against Salem on the 4th. The rest of January and February will be comprised of all conference games, seven of which will be hosted at home and six on the road.
