Mugun Earns ECC Co-Runner of the Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - Senior Hillary Mugun (Accounting - Nandi Hills, Kenya/Meteitei) was named East Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Co-Runner of the week for his performance in the week ending October 7, 2012.

Mugun was the individual champion at Saturday's Delaware State Hornet Invitational, finishing the 8K course in Smyrna, Del. in a time of 26:26, a full minute ahead of the next competitor. As the only Division II team at the meet, the Firebirds finished as a group in 2:31:12 for a score of 52, outpacing second-place Morgan State (55) by 2:41 for the first team victory under second-year head coach Alton McKenzie.
