UDC Men's Cross-country Team Places 4th at HBCU Challenge
Carey, NC: October 2, 2010-- The University of the District of Columbia Men's Cross-country Team finished in 4th place today at the HBCU Challenge in Carey, North Carolina. Four members of the Team won medals.
Sophomore Hillary Mugun (Accounting- Nandi Hills, Kenya) placed 6th in the meet and junior Linus Kosgei (Nursing-Kapsabet, Kenya) placed 16th . Also winning medals were sophomore Zephaniah Koech (Accounting-Nandi Hills, Kenya), who placed 19th, while sophomore Peter Rotich (Accounting-Kapsabet, Kenya) finished in 24th place.
The women's cross-country team had a solid finish. Each member of the team ran a personal best.
The next competition for the teams will be October 8, at the Delaware State University Invitational, in Dover, Delaware.
