UDC Men's Soccer Volunteers Efforts in "Leveling the Playing field"

WASHINGTON, DC- Leveling the Playing Field, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, and the Qatar embassy, in conjunction with UDC CAUSES  4-H soccer program and the UDC Soccer team, facilitated an event where 50 youth had received new soccer cleats and soccer balls. In addition, the UDC soccer team conducted a soccer clinic for all the youth involved in the event. This took place on Thursday 26th May at Bell and Lincoln Soccer Field.

The clinic was set up in a 'stations' format where the middle and high school-aged youth could experience different aspects of the game of soccer while trying out their new soccer cleats. The participants were split into 4 groups and rotated through each station every 8-10 minutes. The stations included a group warm-up with agility, finishing on goal, dribbling, passing, and small-sided games.
