Christopher Newport Shuts Out UDC 6-0 in Soccer

Germantown, MD: September 21, 2007-- The University of the District of Columbia Firebirds Soccer Team was shutout 6-0 by the Christopher Newport University Captains this afternoon in Germantown, Maryland at the SoccerPlex. The SoccerPlex is serving as the main home field for the Firebirds this year while the UDC soccer field undergoes renovations. CNU jumped on the unsuspecting UDC Firebirds by scoring their first goal in the first minute of the match, when Michael Caro kicked the ball into the back of the net on an unassisted play.
 
CNU's other five goals came in the 2nd minute, 3rd, 15th, 88th and 89th minutes. The Firebirds, who are now 0-5 for the season,  will see their next action on September 29th against Chestnutt Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
