Edmund Taylor Earns East Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – The University of the District of Columbia's Edmund Taylor was named East Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for his performance in the week ending April 24th.

 

Taylor, a freshman attack out of Maple Valley, WA, registered four points on three goals and one assist in the Firebirds' 14-8 ECC victory at Roberts Wesleyan this past Saturday. He scored on all three of his shot attempts.

 

This week's recognition for Taylor marks the second consecutive week a Firebird freshman has earned ECC Rookie of the Week honors, with last week's award going to Braylon Lumb.

 

UDC (4-6, 1-5 ECC) has two games remaining this season – both ECC road contests. The Firebirds first visit Chestnut Hill College tomorrow at 4 p.m., and then No. 8 nationally-ranked LIU Post on Saturday, April 30th at 2 p.m.
