UDC Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis and Women's Track and Field Teams Earn ECC Academic Team of Excellence Awards

West Babylon, N.Y. - The East Coast Conference Academic Team of Excellence Awards for the 2022-2023 academic year were announced on Thursday morning.

The ECC Academic Team of Excellence Award is presented to the team with the highest cumulative grade point average in their respective sport. Molloy University led the way by with seven teams winning the honor. University of the District of Columbia was the runner-up with four teams honored, while D'Youville and Mercy were right behind with three. Roberts Wesleyan rounds out the winners with two teams.

Over 80 percent of the conference's teams (115 total) achieved a 3.0 team GPA or higher. UDC's tennis teams led the way with the women holding the highest overall GPA of any ECC team (3.89), while the Firebird men had the highest of any men's team (3.75).
