Simone Grant, Two Relay Teams Ranked Regionally at 2015 Outdoor Season’s End

NEW ORLEANS – Simone Grant, the 4x100M Relay team and the 4x400M Relay team all finished the 2015 season in the top-8 of the East Region for their respective event.

Grant (Health Education – Bronx, NY/Pelham Prep Academy) finished ranked 7th in the 100M with a season-best effort of 12.19s on April 18th at the East Coast Conference Championships. She was also 8th in the Triple Jump with a leap of 11.22m, also at the ECC Championship.

Grant also ran anchor leg on both the 4x100M Relay and the 4x400M Relay. The 4x100M Relay team consisted of Brittany Okon, Geordinell Thurston, Jerily Benjamin and Grant, and it finished the season ranked 6th in the East Region with a season-best running of 48.78s at the ECC Championship.

The 4x400M Relay team consisted of Benjamin, Marlena Wright, Kimoy Mais and Grant, and they ran their season-best time of 3:47.95 on May 8th at the Coppin State Invitational. They finished the season ranked 5th in the East Region.
