Firebirds Fall to Rams 5-4 on Senior Day

Washington, DC: April 26, 2008--The Philadelphia University Rams defeated the UDC Firebirds 5-4 this afternoon in tennis action on the UDC Tennis Courts. This was the final match of the season for the Firebirds. It was also the culmination of the collegiate playing career of senior William Kellibrew. Coach Alexander presented Mr. Kellibrew with a gift and thanked him for his contributions to the tennis program.
UDC Splits With Chestnut Hill In Tennis

Philadelphia,PA:April 12, 2008-- The University of the District of Columbia 's Men's and Women's Tennis Teams split wins with Chestnut Hill College's Teams today in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The UDC Firebirds defeated the Chestnut Hill Griffins 7-2, while the Lady Firebirds fell to the Lady Griffins 2-7.
UDC Swept 9-0 by Shepherd in Men's Tennis

Shepherdstown, WVA:March 12, 2008-- Their first match of the season did not go well for the UDC Firebirds Tennis Team as they were swept, 9-0, by the Shepherd University Rams in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Being two players short, the Firebirds only had four players available for the match.
UDC Tennis Teams Open 2008 Spring Seasons at UMES

The UDC Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams will open their 2008 spring seasons at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday, March 8, 2008. The teams consist of six student-athletes each, who are prepared to face a total of 24 opponents this spring season.Members of the Lady Firebirds are senior Patricia Ofori-team captain, senior Toyin Oderinde, senior Eniola Bakare, freshman Sarah Bevar and freshman Elisha Dufresne-Rodrigues.
